STAFF REPORT
Bids for the project were opened at 2:00 p.m. on
Tuesday, 6-12-90.
A total of two bids were received, in the amounts of
$31,300.00 and $31,485.26. The low bid of $31,300 is 4.9% over
the Engineer's Estimate of $29,843.
Listed below is an estimate of the total project cost,
based upon the actual low bid price:

TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST $ 35,000
An amount of $29,597 was carried over from the 1989/90
Fiscal Year. In addition, an amount of $40,000 was allocated
in the 1990/91 Fiscal Year Budget, under Account No. 001-323-
56251, for capital improvements for the Central City Mall.
We recommend that a contract be awarded for the low bid
price.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION
1.

therefore are hereby rejected; and the Mayor is hereby authorized
and directed to execute said contract on behalf of the City; a
copy of the contract is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A" and
incorporated herein by reference as fully as though set forth at
length.
SECTION 2. This contract and any amendment or modifica-
tions thereto shall not take effect or become operative until
fully signed and executed by the parties and no party shall be
obligated hereunder until the time of such full execution. No
oral agreements, amendments, modifications or waivers are
intended or authorized and shall not be implied from any act or
course of conduct of any party.
SECTION 3. This resolution is rescinded if the parties
to the contract fail to execute it within sixty (60) days of the
passage of this resolution.
