STAFF REPORT
Complaints were received by this Department, after inspections
by Vehicle Abatement Officers, legal ten (10) day notices were issued
and mailed to land owners. Upon no response to the Abatement Orders,
the abandoned vehicles were abated by the City. Cost were incurred
by the City for abatement and are being l1ened on the properties.

Chapter 8.36 of the San Bernardino Municipal Code, did lawfully give notic
of and thereafter abate public nuisances found to exist on the propertie
listed below; and
WADlR"'!:, pursuant to the San Bernardino Municipal Code, the Director 0
Facilities Management Department served notice on all property owners
abatement costs for removing abandoned, wrecked, dismantled,
inoperable vehicles or parts thereof from the property; and
VARDR"'!:, opportunity for a hearing the Board of Building
to protest the abatement costs was afforded the property owners, with n
response forthcoming;

1 SBCTIOB 2. The above assessments shall be paid to l'acil1.tie.

3 Benrardino, CA 92418, vithiD thirty (30) clay after notice of this
4 resolution is mailed to all parties with an interest in the above
5 properties. All assessments not fully paid ill thirty (30) clay. shall
6 become a lien on the property pursuant to the San Bernardino. Municipal Code
7 and shall be collected as a special assessment thereon.
8 SBCTIOB 3. If the above assessment is not paid as hereinabove
9 provided, a City official is directed to file a certified copy of this
10 resolution with the Auditor of the County of San Bernardino, State of
11 California, directing that said assessment be entered as a lien against the
12 property as it appears on the current assessment rolls. The assessment
13 shall be collected at the same time and in the S8me manner as the general
14 property taxes for the City of San Bernardino including penalties and
15 interest for delinquent payments.
16 The City Clerk shall also present for recording appropriate notices of.
17 the imposition of these liens with the County Recorder.
