Synopsis of Previous Council action:
6/21/90 - Council Personnel approved upgrade of Account Clerk I to
Account Clerk II
Recommended motion:
1. That one Account Clerk I position be deleted and one Account Clerk II position be
added to the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department budget.
2. That the Director of Personnel prepare an amendment updating Resolution 6433.

Service., ba. requested a job audit of an Account Clerk I
position.
The Personnel Departllent conducted a review of the duties
perforaed by. the inCUJlbent and feel the re.ponsibilities are
at the Account Clerk II level. currently this position
perfor1Ul functions of equal ~.ponsibllity with the other
Account Clerk II in the departunt. Due to the growth in
acoountinq and . financial transaction. required for the
departaant over the past 3 years, both Account Clerks share
an equal work load.
The salary (step 5) for the Account Clerk I is $1725 per
month whereas the salary (step 5) for the Account Clerk II is
$1904 per month. The total annual cost for the upgrade is
$2535 includinq 18t for variable frinqe benefits. .
At their June 21, 1990, ..etinq, the Council Personnel
COIDIIlitt.. recOlDlllended that the full council approve the
Account Clerk I position upgrade to an Account Clerk II
position.
