In order to enforce these r_U1cUons. Munlcipal Code 10.16.180 should
be amended to allow the Dlrt!CtOI' of FacIIltlea Management to lane
parking permits for car pool veldcles and allow preferential parking for
car pools.
Permits should be va1ld for a period of alx months only and may be
lasued upon employees idl"'tl'lg a car pooUng contract with the Bmerpncy

before permit. would be la.ued.
It la recommended that SBMC 10.18.180. Sub-Sectlon "D" be added. that
would autborise the DIrector of FaclHtles Management to la8ue a

(SCAQMD).

SEC'l'ION 1.
Chapter 10.16.180C of the San Bernardino
Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"10.16.180C Issuing of Car Pooling Parking Permits.
C.
The Director of Facilities Management shall issue a
preferential parking permit to validated employees who have
signed a car pooling contract with the City. Permits are to be
validated every six months, June and December of each year.
The permits shall only be valid for the fourth level of the
City Hall Five Level Parking Structure.
The permit shall be displayed on the vehicle as directed by
the Director of Facilities Management."
SEC'l'IQN 2.
Chapter 10.16.180 of the San Bernardino
Municipal Code is hereby amended to add Subsection "D" as
follows:
"D. For all permits issued under this section, the
Director of Facilities Management shall keep a record of each
permittee's name, address, vehicle license plate number,
California driver's license number, date of issuance, expiration
date, if any, and any other information required for the proper
administration of the issuance of permits."
