STAFF REPORT
In adopting the Uniform Fire Code, the Ordinance required three copies
of the Fire Code and Standard to be on fUe with the City Clerk. This
would be for the public to research any fire Code requirements. In
checking with the City Clerk, they have little or no requests for these
documents. The cost to have three on file would be approximately $261,
as opposed to $87 for one.

15.16.020 OF THE SAN BERNARDINO MUNICIPAL CODE

THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO
4 DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1.
Section 15.16.020 of the San Bernardino
6 Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
7 "15.16.020 Codes Adopted
8 The 1988 Edition of the "Uniform Fire Code" together
9 with Appendices I-A, I-B, I-C, II-A, II-B, II-D, II-E, III-A,
10 III-B, III-C, III-D, IV-A, V-A, VI-A, VI-B, VI-C, VI-D inclusive,
11 and the 1988 Edition of the Uniform Fire Code Standards as
12 compiled and promulgated by the International Conference of
13 Building Officials and the Western Fire Chiefs' Association, and
14 as modified by this chapter, are adopted by this reference as a
15
code of the City of San Bernardino.
The provisions of the
16 Uniform Fire Code and Uniform Fire Code Standards shall apply to
17 all areas within the jurisdiction of the City of San Bernardino.
18 One copy of the 1988 Edition of the Uniform Fire Code, including
19 Appendices, and one copy of the Uniform Fire Code Standards are
20 on file in the office of the City Clerk."
