The proposed purchase is for one (1) brush chi pper truck to be uti 1 i zed
in daily operations by the Public Services Street Department.
At the request of the department, appropriate specifications were
prepared. published and furnished to area suppliers. Bids were pUblicly
opened and declared on May 15.1990.
The followin9 is a summary of Bids received.

responded, one (1) with no bid and four (4) valid bids.
Specifi cati ons as bi d have been revi ewed wi th the Fl eet Manager and
Director of Public Services who concurs that the Bid of Lakeside
Chevrolet meets specifications and requirements. It is therefore
recommended that the Bid be accepted for contract. The equipment funding
is in the 19B9/90 budget.

RESOLUTION NO.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Lakeside Chevrolet is the lowest and best responsible
bidder for the furnishing and delivery of one (I) brush chipper truck in
accordance with Bid Specification F-90-16 for the total amount of $40,861.63;
pursuant to this determination, the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized and
directed to issue a purchase order for said one (I) brush chipper truck to
said lowest and best responsible bidder; such award shall only be effective
,
upon the issuance of a Purchase Order by the Purchasing Agent; and all other
quotations therefor are hereby rejected.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by
the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at a
