Synopsis of Previous Council action:
04-06-87 -- Resolution No. 87-114, adopted by the Mayor and Common Council,
declared that all the land included within the boundaries of said
district will be benefited by said landscaping maintenance.
05-11-87 -- Resolution No. 07-139, adopted by the Mayor and Common Council,
found that the public interest, convenience and necessity required
the formation of a landscape maintenance district.
06-05-89 -- Resolution No. 89-170, adopted by the Mayor and (:ommon Council,
found that the puhlic interest, convenience and necessity required
the amendment of the boundaries of the District by expanding the
boundaries thereof to include additional territorv in the District.
Recommended motion:
Adopt the Resolution.

. CITY OF SAN BERARDINO - REQUEST ~R COUNCIL ACTION
STAFF REPORT
As required by the provisions of Chapter 12.90 of the Municipal Code and
Resolutions No. 87-139 and 87-114, which establ ished the District, the annual
assessment roll relative to Assessment District No. 902 (Piedmont Drive Area
Landscape Maintenance) has been prepared and is attached to the Resolution.
The roll for 1990-91 totals $4,308.48 and is submitted to your Honorable Body
for action as required.

2 RESOLlffION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO CONfIRNING THE 1990-91 ASSESSMEKT
ROLL FOR ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 982, LANDSCAPING ~iAINTENANCE, PIEDMONT DRIVE

5 WHEREAS, by Resolution No. B7-139 , the Mayor and Common Council
6 found that the puhl ic interest, convenience, and necessity required the
7 formation of a landscaping maintenance district; and

1\1tEREAS, by said Resolution No. 1l7-139 , the Mayor and Common
10 Council formed "11 assessment district known as Assessment Dbtrict No. 9112
11 for the purpose of providing landscaping maintenance in the area of Piedmont
12 Dri ve and Indian Canyon Court pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 12.90 of
13 the San Bernardino City Municipal Code; and
14
15 WHEREAS, by Resolution No. B7-114, the ~ayor and Common COllrlcil
16 declared that all the land ineluded within the boundaries of said district
17 will be benefited by the maintenance of said landscaping; and
18
19 WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 87-114 rleclan,d that an annu,,]
20 assessment shall be levied on all land within the district to provide funding
21 for said landscaping maintenance and the administration thereof; and
22
23 WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 89-170, the Mayor and Common Council
24 declared that the public interest and necessity required the amendment of the
25 boundaries of the District by expanding the boundaries thereof to include
26 additional territory in the District; and

WHEREAS, an Assessment Roll has been prepared totalling $4,308.48
which sets forth the individual assessments to be levied on each of the
parcels of lalld within Assessment District No. 982 for the fiscal year 1990-
91;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY TilE HAYOR A~D COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAt-: BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor "'ld Common Counci 1 do hereby find and
determine that the proportionate costs to be levied against ihe parcels of
land within Assessment District No. <)82 are correctly set forth on
Assessment Roll No. 982 for the fiscal year 1990-91, desi~lated as Exhibit
"A" and attached hereto, and do hereby confirm said assessments.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk is directed to cause a copy of this
Resolution to be transmitted to the Office of the Auditor-Controller for the
County of San Bernardino with the request that the individual assessments be
placed on the subject 1990-91 property tax hi lls for co lIed ion together
with all other property taxes.
