STAFF REPORT
As required by the prOVISIons of Chapter 12.90 of the Municipal Code and
Resolutions No. 87-8 and 86-501, which established the District, the annual
assessment 1'011 relative to Assessment District No. 975 (Pepper and Mill Area
Landscaping Maintenance) has been prepared and is attached to the Resolution.
The roll for 1990-91 totills $Il,326.77 dnd is submitted to yuur Honorilhle
Body for action as required.

1 RESOLUTION NO.
2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO CONFIRMING TlIE 1990-91 ASSESSMENT
ROLL FOR ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 975, LANDSCAPING MAINTENANCE, PEPPER AND
3 MILL AREA.

5 WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 87-8, the Mayor and Common Council
6 found that the publ ic interest, convenience, and necessity required the
7 formation of a landscaping maintenance district; and
8
9 WHEREAS, by said Resolution No. 87-8, the Mayor and Common
10 Council formed an assessment district known as Assessment District No. 975
11 for the purpose of provi.ding landscaping maintenance in the area of Pepper
12 Avenue and Mill Street pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 12.90 of the San
13 Bernardino City Municipal Code; and
14
15 WHEREAS, by Reso 1 uti on No. 86-501, the Mayor and Common Counci 1
16 declared that all the land included within the boundaries of said district
17 will be benefited by the maintenance of said landscaping; and
18
19
WHERAS, said Resolution No. 86-501 declared that an annual
20 assessment shall be levied on all land within the district to provide funding
21 for said landscaping maintenance and the administration thereof; and
22
23 WHEREAS, an Assessment Roll has been prepared totalling $8,326.77
24 which sets forth the individual assessments to be levied on each of the
25 parcels of land within Assessment District No. 975 for the fiscal year 1990-

NOW 1~EREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF 1~E CITY OF
SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor and Common Counci I do hereby find and
determine that the proporU onate costs to be levied against the parcels of
land within Assessment District No. 975 are correctly set forth on Assessment
Rol I No. 975 [(Jr- the fiscal year 19911-91, designated as Exhibit "A" and
attached hereto, and do hereby confirm said assessments.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk is directed to cause d copy of this
Resolution to be transmitted to the Office of the Auditor-Conlroller for the
County of San Bernardino with the request that the individual assessments be
placed on the subject 1990-91 property tax bills for collection together
with all other property taxes.
