Synopsis of Previous Council action:
8-4-86 -- Resolution No. 86-321, adopted by the 11ayor and Common Council,
found that the puhlic interest, convenience and necessity required
the formation of a landscaping maintenance district.
7-7-86 -- ResolutiolJ No. 86-263. adopted by the Mayor and Common CornlCil.
declared that all the land included within the boundaries of
said district wi I ] be benefited IJY the maintenance of said
landscaping.
Recommended motion:

STAFF REPORT
As required by the provIsIons of Chapter 12.90 of the Municipal Code and
Resolutions No. 86-321 and 86-263, which established the District, the annual
assessment roll relative to Assessment District No. 974 (Rialto and Eucalyptus
Landscaping Maintenance) has been prepared and is attached to the Resolution.
The roll for 1990-91 totals $5,215.20 and is submitted to your Honorable Body
for action as required.

2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN IlERNARDlNO CONFIRmNG THF 1990-91 ASSESSMENT
ROLL FOR ASSESSMH\T llISTRICT NO. 974, LANDSCWING XAIt;TENANCE, IUALTO AND
3 EUCALYPTUS AVENUE AREA.

5 WHEREAS, by Resolution No. !lti-:J21, the ~layor and Common Council
6 found that the pulJlie interest, convenience, dnd necessity required the
7 formation of a lilndseaping maintenance distr-ict; and

WHEREAS, uy said Resolution ~n. 86-:3:11, the Mayor and Common
10 Council formed an assessment district known as Assessment District No. 974
11 for the pur'pose of providing liHldscaping maintenance in the drea of Rial to
12 Avenue and Eucalyptus Avenue pursuant to the provisions 01 Chapter 12.90 of
13 the San Bernardino City Municipal Code; ann

WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 06-26:1, the ~:ayor and Common Council
16 declared that all the land included within the boundaries of said district
17 will be benefited hy the mainlenance of said lilndscilping; and

WHEREAS, silid Resolution No. 06-263 declared thdt an dnnual
20 assessment shall be levied on all land within the District to provide funding
21 for said landscaping maintenance and the administration thereof; and
22
23 WHEREAS, an Assessment Roll has been prepar"en total! ing $5,215.20
24 which sets forth the individual assessments to be levied on each of the
25 parcels of land within Assessment District No. 974 for the 1 iscal yem" 199(J-

NOli' THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE XAYOR A~D COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor and Conunon Counci I do hereby f illd and
determine that the proportionate costs to be levied ag'1inst the parcels of
land within Assessment District No. 97~ are corTectly set forth on
Assessment RoJ I No. 97~ for the fiscill yedr 1990-91, desiglliited iiS Exhibit
"A" and atliiched hereto, and do hereby contiI'm sflid assessments.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk is directed to GiiUSe d copy of this
Resolution to he transmitted to the Office ot the Auditor-Controller f(l[' UI!'
Cowlty of San Bernardino with the request that the individual assessments be
placed on the subject 1990-91 property tax bi lis for call ection together with
a 11 other property taxes.
