STAFF REPORT
Attached is a Corporation Grant Deed from San Gorgonio Land Company
to the City of San Bernardino for a 15+ acre parcel of land located
at the northeast corner of Orange Show Road and Arrowhead Avenue.
The purpose of the purchase of the parcel, is to relocate the Water
Department Yards located at 2nd and "D" Streets.
The new location will serve the Water Department for many years to
come, and centralizes the water field operations adjacent to the
Wastewater Treatment Plant. By the two facilities being adjacent
to each other, we will avoid duplication of facilities including
fueling stations, warehousing for parts and inventory and shop
facilities.
The Grant Deed was not received until the afternoon of June 21,
1990, and it is essential that it be recorded in order to record
the Promissory Note and Deed of Trust. Further, the Water
Department must begin immediate soils analysis and liquefaction
studies for the design of the facilities.
Final clearance of reservations on the grant deed were not approved
by all parties until Friday, June 22, 1990 at 10:00 a.m.
In accordance with Government Code Section 54954.2 (B)(2) the need
to take action arose subsequent to the agenda being posted.

A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN BERNARDINO ACCEPTING A CORPORATION GRANT DEED FROM SAN GORGONIO
LAND COMPANY, A CALIFORNIA CORPORATION, FOR A 15+ ACRE PARCEL
LOCATED AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF ORANGE SHOW ROAD-AND ARROWHEAD
AVENUE.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION ONE:
That the Corporation Grant Deed from San
Gorgonio Land Company, which is attached hereto marked Exhibit "A",
and incorporated herein by reference as though fully set forth at
length herein, be accepted.
SECTION TWO:
That the property accepted herein be dedicated
for Water Department use.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be
attached to said Grant Deed, and that the same be recorded in the
Office of the County Recorder of San Bernardino County.
