Recommended motion:
1. Tha~ one Parking Citation Coordinator position be deleted and one
TYP1St Clerk III position be added to the Facilities Management
Department budget.
2. That the Director of Personnel prepare an amendment updating
Resolution 6433 & 6413, Section 10.

STAFF REPORT
Wayne OVerstreet, Director of Facilities Management has
requested the reclassification of the Parking Citation
Coordinator position to a Typist Clerk III position. The
Parking Citation Coordinator is a single position classi-
fication, and due to the expansion of responsibilities in
Wayne's department, he feels he could better utilize a
generalist position as opposed to th~ technically oriented
Parking citation Coordinator position~ Wayne is fully aware
of the Typist Clerk III duties, and i~more comfortable with
that classification in his department, therefore I am
recommending a reclassification of the currently vacant
Parking Citation Coordinator position to a Typist Clerk III.
No financial impact exists since both positions are paid the
same.
The Council Personnel Committee approved this item at their
May 24, 1990 meeting and recommended full Council approval to
reclassify the Parking Citation Coordinator position to a
Typist Clerk III position in the Facilities Management
Department.
