Synopsis of Previous Council action:
12-04-89 -- Authorization to proceed was given, and Plan No. 7966 was
approved.

STAFF REPORT
A request was received ~~. this office to vacate a portion of 5th Street between
Dallas Avenue and Meridian Avenue, from Hsu Hao-Shih, the owner of the property
affected by the proposed vacation. This portion of 5th street separates two
areas of Mr. Hsu's property which he would like to develop. It is a "paper
street" and does not exist on the ground. No other property owners are affected
by this proposal.
On 12-04-69, authorization was given to proceed with the proposed vacation, and
Plan No. 7966 was approved.
All of the interested City Departments and utility Companies were notified
of the proposal on 01-12-90, with a reply due by 02-16-90. The responses are
attached for your information. A reservation of an easement for sanitary sewer
and appurtenant facilities was requested, which will have to be reserved. as set
forth in the attached Resolution of Intention.
On 03-19-90. a Negative Declaration was adopted and a finding of consistency
with the General Plan was made.
The remaining fee of $200.00 has been paid and it is recommended that favorable
consideration be given to the requested vacation. The Resolution of Intention.
which sets a protest date of 06-16-90 has been attached hereto for your action
also. Staff recommends adoption of the Resolution of Intention.
