Synopsis of Previous Council action:
8-22-89 Tentative Tract No. 14118 approved by Planning Commission, with
conditions.
Recommended motion:
That the City Engineer and City Clerk are authorized to proceed with initiating
proceedings for the establishment of an assessment district under the provisions of
Chapter 12.90 of the San Bernardino Municipal Code and that the City Engineer is
directed to prepare an Engineer's Report for the proposed maintenance of Landscaping
in portions of Pennsylvania Avenue and the Edison Company Easement located generally
on the West side of Pennsylvania Avenue at Francisco Street in the City of San
Bernardino.

A petition has been received by this office requesting the formation of an assessment
district for the maintenance of landscaping along the West side of Pennsylvania Avenue
adjoining Tentative Tract No. 14118 and along the Edison Company Easement lying within
the Tract. This petition is the result of requirement by the City for the Developer
to establ ish the district. The assessment will include maintenance of landscaping.
energy costs. and administrative costs. The signatures affixed to the referenced
peti tion have been checked and found to represent the owners of 100 percent of the
area of the property lying wi thin the proposed boundaries of the district to be
assessed for the proposed maintenance.
The developer will be r-equired to up-front the cost of the proceedings for
establishment of the district.
