DIRECTOR OF PARKS, RECREATION
AND COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT
TO APPLY FOR AND ACCEPT A GRANT
FROM USDA FOR THE ADMINISTRATION
OF THE SUMMER FOOD SERVICE
PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN.
The federally funded Summer Lunch Program has been success-
fully operated for the past 15 years. During the summer of
1989, 30 serving stations were established at locations in
and around the City of San Bernardino. An average of 1,700
meals per day were served.

DEPARTMENT TO MAKE APPLICATION FOR AND ACCEPT A GRANT FROM
U.S. DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE (USDA) FOR ADMINISTRATION OF
THE SUMMER FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN FOR THE PERIOD
JULY 2, 1990 THROUGH AUGUST 31, 1990.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
The Director
of Parks, Recreation and
Community Services Department of the city of San Bernardino
is hereby authorized and directed to submit an application
to, and accept on behalf of the City a grant from the U.S.
Department of Agriculture (USDA) for Administration of the
Summer Food Service Program for Children for the period July
2, 1990 through August 31, 1990.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly
