The construction of a Sunset Drive freeway off-ramp is being proposed by the Sunset Group to provide "a more direct link from the freeway off-ramp to Caroline Street. The extension of Sunset Drive, from Caroline Street to Redlands Boulevard, is a logical extension and is supported by staff. It is not a condition of approval of any current project, but we fully expect that it will be a condition that the extension be completed prior to any development adjacent to the proposed alignment. The project was originally expected to be funded entirely by development. However, a request has been submitted to RDA for funding assistance. The Negative Declaration for Public Works Project No. 90-06 was recommended for adoption by the Environmental Review Committee at its meeting of 3-1-90. A 21-day public review period was afforded from 3-08-90 to 3-28-90. No comments were received. We recommend that and a finding made that circulation element of the the Negative Declaration be adopted the project is consistent with the General Plan. 3-28-90 75-0264 -- - NOTICE OF PREPARATION OF NEGATIVE DECLARATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO proposes to adopt a Negative Declara"ion for the following projects.
