STAFF REPORT
A & A Manufacturing owns a four (4) acre parcel of land located
approximately one-half mile north of Palm Avenue on the east side
of Cajon Boulevard. The parcel is located outside the corporate
limits of the City but is within the City's sphere of influence.
The parcel is not adjacent to the City's current corporate limits.
The parcel is to be partially developed as a private diesel fuel
pumping station, with no other buildings or other improvements.
A copy of A & A's site plan is attached.
A & A Manufacturing, through Krueper Engineering & Associates,
Inc., has requested water service for general vehicle maintenance
and minimal landscaping purposes.
The property is within the Water Department's service area which
was acquired through the acquisition of the San Bernardino Water
Utilities Corporation in 1971. The Water Department has been
providing water to the entire service area since 1971.
Roger Hardgrave, Director of Public Works/City Engineer, has
advised that they have been authorized to proceed with annexation
of this area. Annexation of the property west of Cajon Boulevard
is pending the submittal of a specific site plan and prezoning of
sand and gravel operations. The property east of Cajon Boulevard
proposed for annexation will proceed as an inhabited annexation.
Mr. Hardgrave gave no specific time frame for the annexation to
proceed.
San Bernardino Municipal Code Subsection 2.28.030 requires that the
Board of Water Commissioners providing water service outside the
corporate limits shall not be authorized without the approval of
the Mayor and Common Council.
The Board of Water Commissioners, at their regular meeting held on
March 6, 1990, unanimously voted that the Secretary prepare a
letter to A & A Manufacturing that water service is available for
the applicant's four (4) acre parcel once development plans have
been approved by the County of San Bernardino. Further, the
Secretary was authorized to submit the matter to the Mayor and
Common Council for approval.

OF WATER COMMISSIONERS PROVIDING WATER SERVICE FOR A FOUR (4) ACRE

WHEREAS, A & A Manufacturing is the owner of a four (4) acre
parcel of land located approximately one-half mile north of Palm
Avenue on the east slde of Cajon Boulevard which is outslde the

corporate limits of the City of San Bernardino; and
WHEREAS, A & A Manufacturing has requested water service from
the San Bernardino Municipal Water Department for said parcel once
development plans have been approved by the County of San

Bernardino; and

23 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
