STAFF REPORT
The Water Department received a petition from Van Loon Mutual Water Company, located
within the area proposed for annexation, to receive City Water services.
It is the policy of the City of San Bernardino not to provide water services outside
of the corporate limits of the City. After meeting with several representatives of
the Van Loon Water Co., the City advised them that they would have to be annexed in
order to receive water services from the City,
Van Loon Water Company presented a petition signed by approximately 70 registered
voters residing in the area, There are approximately 120 registered voters residing in
this area.
Staff recommends that authorization be given to proceed with the proposed annexation.
