That Main Street, Inc. be authorized to conduct a chili cook-off
on the City Hall Plaza area, March 31, 1990, subject to such
conditions as may be required by the City Administrator.

STAFF REPORT
Main Streets Special Events Committee has scheduled the Second Annual
Chili Cook-Off to be held Saturday March 31, 1990, on the upper level
of the City Hall Plaza. The event will be from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The chili cook-off contestants will be in covered booths. Main Street
will be providing beverages, beer will be handled by Maruko Hotel employees
that have beer handlers permits.
Main Street will provide live entertainment.
The event is free to the public. There will be a charge for the chili
and beverage. We are expecting approximately 750 to 1000 people to
attend.
Main Street has abtained all necessary permits.

Applicant hereby acknowledges that he/she has read, understands, and will comply with all provisions of Chapter 12.80, Municipal
Code, City of San Bernardino, California pertaining to use of Park and Recreation facilities.. Applicant hereby assumes all responsibility
to leave areas in a neat and clean condition. Applicant agrees to hold harmless and indemnify the City of San 8ernardino, California,
from any and all liability for injury to persons or property occurring as a result of this activity and agrees to be liable to said City for
any and all damage to any park, facility, building, pool, equipment, and furniture owned or controlled by City, which results from the
activity or permittee or is caused by any participant in said activity.
.NOTE: This permit is subject to cancellation by any Police Officer who determines violation of any provision of the City Municipal
Code.
CLEANING DEPOSIT: If area/facility is not left in clean condition,
the deposit shall be forfeited.
KEY DEPOSIT: Keys shall be returned within two (2) working
days after the event for which the key (s) is issued. If key (s) is not
returned promptly, the deposit shall be forfeited.
