RESOLUTION TO AMEND RESOLUTION 89-227 STAFF REPORT
AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT WITH COUNTY OF
SAN BERNARDINO FOR SENIOR NUTRITION
PROGRAM TO INCLUDE AN ADDITIONAL ONE
TIME GRANT OF $34,000.00.
Amendment No.1 to Resolution 89-227 (County Agreement No. 89-573 will provide a
one time grant for the Senior Nutrition Program in the amount of $34,000.00. These
funds will be allocated towards kitchen renovations, (Sr. Center, Nicholson,
Lytle Creek), raw food purchases and one (1) additional vehicle to transport
meals to satallite sites.
The Senior Nutrition Program 1989-90 contract represents a continuance of an
existing program that has been ongoing since 1977. Under the amendment, the
contract will be modified as follows.

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING
THE EXECUTION OF AN AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT WITH THE COUNTY OF
SAN BERNARDINO ACTING AS THE AREA AGENCY ON AGING APPROVING A
REVISED BUDGET FOR THE SENIOR NUTRITION PROGRAM TO INCLUDE AN
ADDITIONAL ONE-TIME GRANT SUM OF $34,000.00 FOR THE PURCHASE
OF RAW FOOD AND EQUIPMENT NECESSARY TO IMPROVE THE MEAL
SERVICE FOR THE BUDGET YEAR 1989-90.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. The Mayor of the City of San Bernardino is
9
hereby authorized and directed to execute an amendment to the
contract with the County of San Bernardino acting as the
Area Agency on Aging approving a revised budget for the
Senior Nutrition Program in the amount of $34,000.00 for the
13 purchase of raw food items, kitchen renovations at three
14 sites and one (1) additional vehicle necessary to improve
15 meal service for the Budget Year 1989-90, a copy of which is
16 attached hereto, marked "Exhibit A" and incorporated herein
17 by reference as fully as though set forth at length.

WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the County and the City of San Bernardino entered
into a contract on June 26, 1989, designated in County records
as Contract No. 89-573; and
WHEREAS, the parties now desire to amend said Contract
to provide for an increase in funds for services provided
thereunder;

1) The maximum amount of CDA funds awarded under the
contract, as specified in Paragraph 5 thereof, is hereby increased
to $211,190;
2) The matching share contributed by the Contractor
as specified in Paragraph 6 is increased to $16,441 of which
-0- shall be in cash and $16,441 shall be in kind;
3) Exhibi ts "B" and "B-1" are hereby deleted f rom the
contract and new exhibits so designated and marked "REVISED"
are hereby added to the contract and incorporated therein by
reference;
4) Except as modified by this amendment, all provisions
of Contract No. 89-573 remain in full force and effect.
