CITY OF SAN BERN"ARDINO - REQUEST FUR COUNCIL ACTION STAFF REPORT Pursuant to the 1989 authorization, this will be the first project to be processed. A new survey has been made relative to the necessi ty of dri veway fill-ins on the streets within the City. The list was prepared and has been checked relative to qualifying under the provisions of Chapter 12.92 and we recommend that the necessary improvements be made. The list as compiled affects 13 parcels of land needing driveway fill-in improvements of either paving, curb, curb and gutter, sidewalk or combinations thereof and the total estimated cost is anticipated to be $32,813.00. If the property owners choose not to do the work, then the construction will go to bid for an outside contract or be done by the Public Services Department if their work load permits. Due to the low overall cost, we recommend that the Ci ty up front the contract cost, if necessary, and that the owners have three years in which to pay the assessment on their respective tax bills.
