STAFF REPORT
subject: Meeting Dates For The Development Code Workshops.
REOUEST:
staff requests the Mayor and Common Council establish dates
and times for joint workshops on the Development Code.
BACKGROUND
since the adoption of the General Plan, the Planning staff
has been working with consultants to prepare a Development
Code to implement the General Plan. The Development Code has
been reviewed in administrative draft form by a staff level,
Technical Advisory Committee comprised of Department Heads
and/or their representative. The result of those reviews is
the Preliminary Draft of the Development Code which will be
available the last week in January. Prior to Public Hearings
on the Development Code, it is desired by the consultant to
hold joint workshops to introduce the Mayor and Common
Council, the Planning commission and various committees to
the Code and to gather input from those Bodies.
The Committees include:
The Technical Advisory Committee (city staff) i
The Development Advisory Committee (Professionals
associated with the private sector building industry) i
The citizens Advisory Committee (residents of the City) i
and
Private sector individuals associated with the General
Plan/Development Code Task Force
The workshops will be advertised so other interested parties
may attend.

The proposed dates and times for the workshops are:
Monday, February 12, 1990
from 1:30 - 5:00 p.m. at the
Feldheym Library and
Monday, February 26, 1990
from 1:30 - 5:00 p.m. at the
Feldheym Library.
optional dates and times would be Wednesdays, February 14,
1990 and February 28, 1990 at 1:30 p.m. at the library.
