Agenda Item No. /1 CITY OF SAN BER.._..RDINO - REQUEST ~ ~R COUNCIL ACTION STAFF REPORT The Negative Declaration for Public Works Project No. 89- 35 was recommended for adoption by the Environmental Review Committee at its meeting of 10-19-89. A 14-day public review period was afforded from 10-26-89 to 11-06-89. No comments were received. We recommend that the Negative Declaration be adopted and a finding made that the project is consistent with the circula- tion element of the General Plan. 12-07-89 75-0264 NO~ E OF PREPARATION OF NEGAT ~ DECLARATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO proposes to adopt a Negative Declaration for the following projects. The Environmental Review Committee found that the project will not have a significant effect on the environment on the basis of the Initial Study and mitigation measures (If applicable). 1. PUBLIC WORKS PROJECT NO. 89-36 - Proposed vacation of a portion of an east/west alley between "G" Street and "H" Street and bet- ween 5th Street and 6th Street. 2. PUBLIC WORKS PROJECT NO. 89-38 - Proposed street/alley vacation of remainder of "J" Street, north of Oak Street and south of Lytle Creek Channel. ~PUBLIC WORKS PROJECT 89-35 - To widen Palm Avenue from Cable Creek to Verdemont Drive. 5. CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 89-45 - To allow an indoor swap meet within an existing vacant building located at 1675 North Mt. Ver- non. 6. CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 89-43 - To construct an 817 square foot fast food drive-thru restaurant on a 0.49 acre site located at the northeast corner of Highland Avenue and Lincoln Drive. 7. WATER DEPARTMENT PROJECT NO. 89-3 - To construct an 8 foot by 50 foot water tank and a 3,000 gallon pneumatic pump northwest of the terminus of Ridgeline Drive. Copies of the Initial Study are available for public review at the Planning Department, 300 North "0" Street, San Bernardino, CA 92418, and the Feldheym Library, 555 West 6th Street, San Bernar- dino, CA.
