Synopsis of Previous Council action:
10-02-89 -- Resolution No. 89-403 adopted authorizing the expendi-
ture of Central City Project Area funds for public
improvements, at an estimated cost of $76,900
(Resolution No. 5211 of the Community Development
Commission also adopted).
Recommended motion:
That the plans for replacing expansion joints in the three-level
parking structure, in accordance with Plan No. 8000, be approved;
and the Director of Public Works/City Engineer be authorized to
advertise for bids.

STAFF REPORT
Plans for replacement of expansion joints in the three-
level parking structure have been prepared by the Engineering
Division and the project is ready to be advertised for bids. The
project consists, in general, of removing about 685 feet of the
existing metal joint plates and installing new compression type
seal joints.
Listed below is an estimate of the total project cost:
Construction Contract $ 71,925
Engineering & Inspection (W.O.# 1,500
Sub-Total $ 73,425
Contingencies (5%) :!: 3,475
TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST $ 76,900
All costs incurred will be billed to the Redevelopment
Agency, in accordance with Resolutions No. 89-403 and 5211 of the
Mayor and Common Council and Community Development Commission
respectively.
We recommend that the plans be approved and authorization
granted to advertise for bids.
