The recommended funding for this amount is from the monies freed up from the Fire Station Bond Issue. Funding is recommended at this time and the Police Department will be asked to submit an application for CDBG funds (which will become available for use July 1, 1990). The Police Department will also be asked to continue in its efforts to locate appropriate funding for the program (State, County) and to include a progress report and request for supplemental funding at the time of the 1990-91 Budget request. Recommended for approval by Ways and Means Committee 12/27/89. MARSHALL W. JULIAN Ci't;~ Administrator MWJ/md 75-0264
