RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT NO. 1
TO THE AGREEMENT WITH THE REGENTS OF
THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA RELATING
TO RESEARCH SERVICES BY THE UNIVER-
SITY RESEARCH OFFICE
STAFF REPORT
In the original agreement, the start date for research services was November
1, 1989 with a completion date of December 15, 1989. Because of the
Administrative processing procedures required between the City and the Univer-
sity, the agreement was not completed and signed by both parties until
November 22, 1989; therefore, the start date for the delivery of services
is changed to December 1, 1989 with a completion date of January 31, 1990.

3 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE AGREEMENT WITH THE REGENTS OF
4 THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA RELATING TO THE CITY'S UTILIZATION
OF HISTORICAL RESEARCH SERVICES BY THE UNIVERSITY RESEARCH
5 OFFICE, TO REFLECT A PERFORMANCE AND DELIVERY OF WORK PERIOD
BETWEEN DECEMBER 1, 1989 AND JANUARY 31, 1990.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON
7
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1.
The Mayor of the City of San Bernardino is
9
hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of said City
Amendment No. 1 to the agreement with the Regents of the
University of California relating to the City's utilization of
Historical Research Services by the University Research Office to
reflect a performance and delivery of work period between
December 1, 1989 and January 31, 1990, a copy of which is

attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by
16
reference as fully as though set forth at length.

SECTION 2.
The authorization to execute the above-
18
referenced agreement is rescinded if the parties to the agreement
19
fail to execute it within sixty (60) days of the passage of this
20
resolution.

AMENDMENT NO. 1
WHEREAS, The Regents of the University of California
("Regents") and the City of San Bernardino on behalf of its
Parks Department ("Sponsor") entered into an agreement for
the project entitled "The Secombe Park Burials"; and
WHEREAS, the parties anticipated a start date of November 1,
1989 for this project; and
WHEREAS, the project cannot commence until the Sponsor signs
the agreement on or about December 1, 1989;
NOW THEREFORE, the parties agree to amend Article II
Performance and Deliverv Schedule, by deleting the ending
date of "December 31, 1989" and substituting January 31,
1990".
All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
INWITNESS WHEREOF, this Amendment is effective as of the
date of the last signature hereunder.
