STAFF REPORT
Bids for this project were received at 2:00 p.m. on
Tuesday, 11-28-89.
A total of 5 bids were received, ranging from $14,400.00
to $31,370.00. The low bid of $14,400.00 is 4% below the Engi-
neer's Estimate of $15,000.00.
Listed below is the total estimated project cost, based
upon the actual low bid price:
Construction Contract $ 14,400
Engineering & Inspection 432
Sub-Total $ 14,832
Contingencies (15%):!: 2,168
TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST $ 17,000
Funding for the project will be from Bond Funds or the
Reserve Account, as approved by the Mayor and Common Council, in
action taken October 16, 1989.
We recommend that a contract be awarded to the low
bidder.

RESOLUTION NO.
2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AWARDING A
CONTRACT TO HARBER COMPANIES, INC. FOR BUILDING DEMOLITION AT THE
3 NORTHWEST CORNER OF WATE~mN AVENUE AND SEVENTH STREET.
4 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE l-tAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1.
responsible bidder for Building Demolition at the northwest
corner of Waterman Avenue and Seventh Street, in accordance with
Plan No. 7937, for the total amount of $14,400.00, and a contract
is awarded to said bidder accordingly, but such award shall be
only upon the contract being fully executed by the
all other bids therefore are hereby rejected; and the
hereby authorized and directed to execute said contract
on behalf of the City; a copy of the contract is attached hereto,

marked Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by reference as fully
as though set forth at length.
SECTION 2. This contract and any amendment or modifica-
tions thereto shall not take effect or become operative until
fully signed and executed by the parties and no party shall be
obligated hereunder until the time of such full execution. No
oral agreements,
amendments,
modifications or waivers are
intended or authorized and shall not be implied from any act or
course of conduct of any party.
SECTION 3.
This resolution is rescinded if the parties
to the contract fail to execute it within sixty (60) days of the
passage of this resolution.
