REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION STAFF REPORT PARK NAMING - "ELECTRIC AVENUE HERITAGE PARK" In February of 2004, the City Council unanimously passed Resolution #2004-45, "supporting the concept of the Electric Avenue Greenbelt and historic site project and reserving approximately 4.68 acres of land on the east side of Electric Avenue, between 40th Street to just north of Northpark Boulevard, as public park property". The Community Redevelopment Alliance of San Bernardino initiated this project and they are actively seeking funds for the initial development of the site. To provide clarity and consistent name recognition to the project area, the alliance has formally requested that the City Council adopt the name "Electric Avenue Heritage Park" for the area described above.
