Synopsis of Previous Council Action:
11/7/2005 Action was taken to set the regular meeting dates of the Mayor and
Common Council and Community Development Commission for 2006.
Recommended Motion:
That the Mayor and Common Council and the Community Development Commission
approve changing the regular meeting dates of the Mayor and Common Council and
Community Development Commission for the month of July 2006, from July 3 & 17 to
July 10 & 24, 2006.

regular meeting dates for July 2006

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
On November 7,2005, the Mayor and Common Council and Community Development
Commission approved their regular meeting dates for the year 2006. At that time, the
meeting dates for July were set for July 3 and 17.
Although Council meetings are normally held on the fIrst and third Mondays of each
month, due to the holidays and possible conflicts with agenda deadlines, the Council
meetings in January 2006 were scheduled for the second and fourth Mondays of the
month.
Although not exactly the same situation, the Fourth of July holiday falls on the Tuesday
following the Monday, July 3, Council meeting. Therefore, since there are fIve
Mondays in the month of July, it has been suggested that the meeting dates be changed
from July 3 and 17 to July 10 and 24.
RECOMMENDED MOTION:
That the Mayor and Common Council and the Community Development Commission
approve changing the regular meeting dates of the Mayor and Common
Council/Community Development Commission for the month of July 2006, from July 3
& 17 to July 10 & 24,2006.
