intersection of Crestview A venue and 18th Street subject to the results of traffic counts.

STAFF REPORT
Subiect:
Authorization to amend Resolution No. 655 to reflect the installation of a 3-way Stop at the
intersection of Crestview Avenue and 18th Street.
Backe:round:
On July 18, 2005 the Mayor and Common Council authorized the installation of a three-way stop at
the referenced intersection subject to the results of traffic counts. Traffic counts, conducted by staff
indicate that the City's Administrative Policy for htstallation of Stop Signs can be applied to this
intersection. Consequently, it is recommended that the attached Resolution be approved amending
Resolution No. 655 to reflect the installation of the three-way stop at this intersection.
Financial Impact:
The estimated cost of$ 1,000.00 for installing the new stop signs will come from Account No. 001-
402-5111 (Street Maintenance).
Recommendation:
Adopt Resolution.

NO. 655 ENTITLED, IN PART, '"A RESOLUTION... DESIGNATING CERTAIN
STREETS, OR PORTIONS THEREOF AS THROUGH HIGHWAYS..." AND
ESTABLISHING A THREE-WAY STOP AT THE INTERSECTION OF
CRESTVIEW A VENUE AND EIGHTEENTH STREET.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: Resolution No. 655, which designates certain streets, or portions
thereof, as through highways, Section One is amended by amending Subsection (3.5)
CRESTVIEW A VENUE to read as follows:
"(3.5) CRESTVIEW A VENUE
(A) From Base Line Street to 21 5t Street.
(B) At its intersection with 18th Street (3-Way Stop)."
SECTION 2: Resolution No. 655, which designates certain streets, or portions
thereof, as through highways, Section One is amended by adding Subsection (4.3)
EIGHTEENTH STREET to read as fol1ows:
"(4.3) EIGHTEENTH STREET
(A)At its intersection with Crestview Avenue (3-Way Stop)."
