Recommended Motion:
That the Mayor and Common Council authorize the execution of a Purchase Order for the
rental of aU-Haul storage unit at the approximate monthly cost of $74.95 for twelve (12)
months, for a total cost of $899.40.

The City Attorney's Office regularly closes litigation files and other legal files and records
which have to be stored in a secure place. It currently rents two storage units at U-Haul Storage,
located at 110 South "D" Street, San Bernardino. Additionally, the Attorney's Office is storing legal
files and records in two rooms in the City Attorney's Office, as well as one room in the basement
at City Hall. Jim Sharer, Director of Facilities Management, has searched throughout the City and
has found no other secure location to store additional legal files and records.
The only alternative is to rent another unit at U-Haul Storage where the other files and
records are stored.
It is requested that the Mayor and Common Council approve the floor motion authorizing
the execution of a Purchase Order for the rental of a U-Haul Storage Unit at the approximate
monthly cost of $74.95 for twelve (12) months, for a total cost of $899.40.
