RE: FLOOD CONTROL BASIN SECURm ISSUES
We the residents of the City of San Bernardino respectfully request
immediate action taken in regards to the Aood Control reservoir located on the
west end of the city border. There have been multiple calls into the San
Bernardino Police department regarding the many criminal, unsavory acts going
on there. There have been: gun shots fired, drug dealings caught, alcohol
bottles found, hypodermic needles found and constant graffiti at this location.
This particular location is on the corner of Macy & Walnut streets, between Mill &
Riafto Avenue. There are wrought iron gates on three sides of the basin (East,
North and West), we as tax paying citizens are demanding a 4th gate (South
side) and also lights in the interest of safety for our children. With approximately
40 children under 15 years of age in the immediate area, you can see the grave
concerns we have as parents. Please consider this matter of the utmost
importan , and we will be anxiously anticipating your response.
