Re: Special Meeting
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Evlyn Wilcox, Mayor of
the City of San Bernardino has called a Special Meeting of
the Mayor and Common Council for 12:00 Noon, Monday, June
8, 1987, in the Management Information Center (MIC Room),
Sixth Floor, City Hall, 300 North "D" Street, San Bernar-
dino, California.
The purpose for which this meeting has been called is
to discuss litigation pursuant to Government Code Section
54956.9(a), which has been initiated formally and to
which the City is a party. The title of the litigation is
Saldecke, et aT. v City of San Bernardino, et aI, San
Bernardino Superior Court No. 236836.

The Special Meeting of the Mayor and Common Council
of the City of San Bernardino was called to order by Mayor
wilcox at 12:10 p.m., Monday, June 8, 1987, in the Council
Chambers of City Hall, 300 North "D" Street, San Bernar-
dino, California.
ROLL CALL
Roll Call was taken by the City Clerk wi th the fol-
lowing being present: Mayor Wilcox; Council Members
Estrada, Reilly, Flores, Maudsley, Minor, Pope-Ludlam,
Miller; City Attorney Penman, City Clerk Clark, City
Administrator Schweitzer. Absent: None.
RECESS SPECIAL MEETING - CLOSED SESSION
At 12:10 p.m., Council Member Estrada made a motion,
seconded by Council Member Miller and unanimously carried,
that the Special Meeting recess to a Closed Session pur-
suant to Government Code Section 54956.9(a) to confer with
its attorney regarding pending litigation which has been
initiated formally and to which the City is a party. The
title of the case is Saldecke, et al vs. the City of San
Bernardino, et aI, Case No. 236836.
CLOSED SESSION
At 12:10 p.m., the Closed Session was called to order
by Mayor Wi lcox in the Conference Room of the Counci 1
Chambers of City Hall, 300 North "D" Street, San Bernar-
dino, California.
ROLL CALL
Roll Call was taken by the Ci ty Clerk wi th the fol-
lowing being present: Mayor Wilcox; Council Members
Estrada, Reilly, Flores, Maudsley, Minor, Pope-Ludlam,
Miller; City Attorney Penman, City Clerk Clark, City
Administrator Schweitzer. Absent: None.
Also present: Deputy City Attorney Grace, newly
appointed City Attorney Denice Brue.
ADJOURN CLOSED SESSION
At 1: 20 p.m., the Closed Session adjourned to the
Special Meeting in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 300
North "0" Street, San Bernardino, California.

seconded by Council Member Pope-Ludlam and unanimously
carried, that the Special Meeting of the Mayor and Common
Council of the City of San Bernardino, be recessed to 9:00
a.m., Tuesday, June 9,1987, in the Council Chambers of
City Hall, 300 North "0" Street, San Bernardino, Cali-
fornia.
RECONVENE SPECIAL MEETING
At 9:10 a.m., Tuesday, June 9,1987, Mayor Wilcox
called the Special Meeting to order in the Council Cham-
bers of City Hall, 300 North "0" Street, San Bernardino,
California.
ROLL CALL
Roll Call was taken by the Ci ty Clerk wi th the fol-
lowing being present: Mayor Wilcox; Council Members
Estrada, Reilly, Maudsley, Minor, Pope-Ludlam, Miller;
City Attorney Penman, City Clerk Clark, City Administrator
Schweitzer. Absent: Council Member Flores.
RECESS SPECIAL MEETING - CLOSED SESSION
At 9:15 a.m., Council Member Miller made a motion,
seconded by Council Member Minor and unanimously carried,
that the meeting be recessed for a Closed Session pursuant
to Government Code Section 54956.9 (b), to discuss pending
litigation. The title of the litigation is Saldecke, et
al. v City of San Bernardino, et aI, San Bernardino Super-
ior Court No. 236836.

At 9:15 a.m., the Closed Session was called to order
by Mayor wilcox in the Conference Room of the Council
Chambers of City Hall, 300 North "0" Street, San Bernar-
dino, California.
ROLL CALL
Roll Call was taken with the following being present:
Mayor Wilcox; Council Members Estrada, Reilly, Maudsley,
Minor, Pope-Ludlam, Miller; City Attorney Penman. Absent:
Council Member Flores; City Clerk Clark, City Administra-
tor Schweitzer.
Also present was Deputy City Attorney Grace.
CITY CLERK CLARK ARRIVED
At 9:30 a.m., City Clerk Clark arrived at the Closed
Session.

FORMER COUNCIL MEMBER STRICKLER ARRIVED
At 9:45 a.m., former Council Member Strickler arrived
at the Closed Session.
FORMER COUNCIL MEMBER STRICKLER EXCUSED
At 9:46 a.m., former Council Member Strickler left
the Council Meeting.
COUNCIL MEMBER POPE-LUDLAM EXCUSED
At 10:15 a.m., Council Member Pope-Ludlam left the
Council Meeting.
ADJOURN CLOSED SESSION
At 10: 27 a.m., the Closed Session of the Mayor and
Common Council of the City of San Bernardino adjourned to
the Special Meeting in the Council Chambers of City Hall,
300 North "0" Street, San Bernardino, California.
RECONVENE SPECIAL MEETING
At 10:27 a.m., the Special Meeting of the Mayor and
Common Council of the City of San Bernardino reconvened in
the Council Chambers of City Hall, 300 North "0" Street,
San Bernardino, California.

of City Hall, 300 North "0" Street, San Bernardino, Cali-
fornia.
