Re: Special Meeting
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Evlyn Wilcox, Mayor of
the City of San Bernardino and Chairman of the Redevelop-
ment Agency of the City of San Bernardino does hereby call
a Special Meeting of the Common Council and the Redevelop-
ment Board/Community Development Commission of the City
of San Bernardino for 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 30, 1987.
Said Special Meeting will be held in the Council Chambers
of City Hall, 300 North "D" Street, San Bernardino, Cali-
fornia.
The purpose for which this meeting has been called is
as follows:
1. Executive Session
A. Under the provisions of Government Code Section
54956.8 for the purpose of discussing with its
real estate acquisition negotiator whether to
acquire certain real property on behalf of the
Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Bernar-
dino, and to give instructions to its negotiator
regarding the price and terms of payment for the
purchase of such property.
B. The Community Development Commission will recess
to Closed Session pursuant to Government Code
Section 54956.9(a) to confer with its attorney
regarding pending litigation which has been
initiated formally and to which the Redevelopment
Agency of the City of San Bernardino is a party.
The title of the litigation is In re: Operation
Second Chance, United States Bankruptcy Court
Case No. SB86--2889--DN.
2. Interim Legal Services Agreement with Sabo &
Dietsch Law Firm for legal services for the Rede-
velopment Agency of the City of San Bernardino.
3. Public Enterprise Center concerning bid pro-
posal from RECO-Refrigerating Equipment Company.
4. Bond Issue for refunding Central City North
1982 Bond Issue
5. Bond Issue for refunding Southeast Industrial
Park 1983 Bond Issue
6. Bond Issue for Central City North, 1987 Bond
Issue
7. Bond Issue for Southeast Industrial Park, 1987

The Special Meeting of the Mayor and Common Council
of the City of San Bernardino was called to order by Mayor
wilcox on Thursday, April 30,1987, at 1:10 p.m., in the
Council Chambers of City Hall, 300 North "0" Street, San
Bernardino, California.
ROLL CALL
Roll Call was taken by the City Clerk with the fol-
lowing being present: Mayor Wilcox; Council Members
Estrada, Flores, Maudsley, Quiel, Strickler; City Clerk
Clark. Absent: Council Members Reilly, Frazier; Senior
Assistant City Attorney Briggs, City Administrator
Schwei tzer.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION/REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY - SPECIAL MEETING
The Special Meeting of the Community Development
Commission/Redevelopment Agency was called to order by
Chairman Wilcox in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 300
North "0" Street, San Bernardino, California.
RECESS MEETING - CLOSED SESSION
At 1:10 p.m., Council Member Strickler made a motion,
seconded by Council Member Quiel and unanimously carried,
to recess to a Closed Session pursuant to Government Code
Section 54956.9(a) to confer with its attorney regarding
pending litigation which has been initiated formally and
to which the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Ber-
nardino is a party. The title of the litigation is Opera-
tion Second Chance, United States Bankruptcy Court Case
No. SB86-2889-DN. (R-l)

ADJOURN CLOSED SESSION
At 1:56 p.m., the Closed Session of the Mayor and
Common Council of the City of San Bernardino adjourned to
the Special Meeting in the Council Chambers of City Hall,
300 North "0" Street, San Bernardino, California.

AND MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS AND DETERMI-
NATIONS IN CONNECTION THEREWITH.

Council Member Quiel made a motion, seconded by Coun-
cil Member Flores and unanimously carried, that said reso-
lution be continued to the Adjourned Regular Meeting of
the Mayor and Common Council to be held May 11, 1987, in
the Council Chambers of City Hall, 300 North "D" Street,
San Bernardino, California, or at the call of the Chair-
man.

INTERIM LEGAL SERVICES AGREEMENT -
SABO & DIETSCH LAW FIRM - SERVICE FOR
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
The Mayor and Common Council discussed an interim
legal services agreement with the law firm of Sabo & Diet-
sch, and rescinded their action of April 20, 1987 and
adopted a new agreement with the adoption of Community
Development Resolution No. 5012. (R-2)
RECESS MEETING - CLOSED SESSION
At 2:22 p.m., Council Member Strickler made a motion,
seconded by Council Member Quiel and unanimously carried,
to recess to a Closed Session pursuant to Government Code
Section 54956.8 for the purpose of discussing with its
real estate acquisition negotiator whether to acquire

Agency of the City of San Bernardino, and to give instruc-

APPRECIATION - SENIOR ASSISTANT CITY
ATTORNEY BRIGGS
The Mayor and Common Council expressed their appre-
ciation to Senior Assistant City Attorney Briggs, who is
leaving to become City Attorney of Cathedral City.
ADJOURNMENT
At 2:27 p.m., Council Member Strickler made a motion,
seconded by Council Member Quiel and unanimously carried,
that the meeting be adjourned.
