Synopsis of Previous Council Action:
August 1, 2005 - Council voted unanimously to authorize the Director of Finance to
issue a purchase order in the amount of $50,000 for requested modeling services in FY
05-06 per the proposed agreement and to pay an additional $17,100 to the consultant
for services rendered in FY 04-05. bringing the total authorized amount in FY 04-05 to
$41,895
Recommended Motion
That the Director of Finance be authorized to amend the FY 2005/2006 Budget by
increasing revenue account number 001-000-4710 by $25,000 and expenditure account
number 001-185-5502 by $25,000 to cover the balance of the anticipated expenses and
revenue reimbursements for Srinivasa S Bhat for FY 05-06

Subiect:
Authorize budget amendment inadvertently omitted at the August I, 2005 meeting of the Mayor
and Common Council.
Backl!:round:
On August 1 2005 the Council voted unanimously to adopt Resolution No. 2005-261
authorizing the Mayor to execute an Agreement for Professional Transportation Modeling
Services with Srinivasa S. Bhat. and to authorize the Director of Finance to issue a purchase
order in the amount of $50.000 for requested modeling services in FY 05-06 per the proposed
agreement and to pay an additional $17,100 to the consultant for services rendered in FY 04-05,
bringing the total authorized amount in FY 04-05 to $41,895
A third motion was inadvertently omitted from the agenda item. That motion authorizes the
Director of Finance to amend the FY 2005/2006 Budget by increasing revenue account number
001-000-4710 by $25.000 and expenditure account number 001-185-5502 by $25,000 to cover
the anticipated expenses and revenue reimbursements for Srinivasa S Bhat for FY 05-06.
e Adoption of the recommended motion would authorize the budget amendment.
Financial Impact:
It IS anticipated that there will be no net cost to the City of San Bernardino for Mr Bhat s
services because the developers and/or agencies requesting information reimburse the City of
San Bernardino for the cost of his fees.
Recommendation
That the Director of Finance be authorized to amend the FY 2005/2006 Budget by Increasing
revenue account number 001-000-4710 by $25.000 and expenditure account number 001-185-
5502 by $25.000 to cO\er the balance of the anticipated expenses and revenue reimbursements
for Srinivasa S. Bhat for FY 05-06.
