1. That the transfer of $8,621, from Account No.
"Electric Charges," to Account No. 257-601-5706,
Renovations," be approved.
Adopt resolution.
That Change Order No. One to the contract with De La Cruz Construc-
tion, Inc. for installation of street lights at various locations,
in accordance with Plan No. 9245, be approved; to direct the
Contractor to install an additional street light on Mt. Vernon Ave.

STAFF REPORT
Bids for installation of street lights at various
locations were opened at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, 4-25-95.
A total of 4 bids were received, ranging from $86,691 to
$102,264. The low bid of $86,691 is 9.7% over the Engineer's
Estimate of $79,000.
Below is an estimate of the total project cost, based
upon the actual low bid price:

A request has been received from David T. Romero, Vice-
President Administrative Services, San Bernardino Valley
College, for an additional street light to be installed on Mt.
Vernon Avenue, at the entrance adjacent to the Liberal Arts
Building. The low bidder has provided a price quote of $3,621
for this additional street light. We have reviewed this price
and found it to be consistent with the prices listed in the low
bid.
Change Order No. One will amend the contract with De La
Cruz Construction, Inc. to include the extra street light. If
the Mayor and Council concur with the request for an extra light,
the total estimated project cost will be increased by $3,621,
from $99,000 to $102,621.
An amount of $94,000 has been allocated, under Account
No. 257-601-5706, to finance the costs incurred for this project.
Supplemental funds in the amount of $8,621 will be needed to
cover the total estimated project cost, as amended by Change
Order No. One.
