Synopsis of Previous Council action:
12-18-89 - Authorization to proceed was given for the annexation of the
territory generally located Southeast of the 1-15 Freeway,
Southwest of the 1-215 Freeway.

Plan for services was approved.
01-09-94
Resolution No. 95-8, adopted, determining the amount of property
tax revenues to be exchanged between the City and County of San
Bernardino, relative to the proposed reorganization.
02-20-95 - Resolution No. 95-451 adopted, making application to LAFCO.

STAFF REPORT
On 12-18-89, authorization was given to proceed with the proposed annexation of the
area generally located Southeast of the 1-15 Freeway, Southwest of the 1-215 Freeway.
The area just South if this proposed annexation was annexed to the City in 1992,
leaving this area as a strip of unincorporated territory.
On 11-21-94, the Plan for Providing Services for the proposed annexation was approved. .
The plan was filed with the Local Agency Formation ComriUssion (LAFCO), and On January.
9, 1994, the Resolution approving the tax transfer from County to City was adopted.
On February 20, 1995, Resolution No. 95-451 was adopted, making application to LAFCO
for this proposal. Even though the proposed annexation was initiated by property owner
and resident petitions, this action eliminated the need for an EIR, which would have
been very costly.
April 19, 1995, LAFCO approved the proposal, but modified the proposal to eliminate
the area generally Northwest of Devore Road from this action.
The attached Resolution initiates the hearing process which must now take place, and
set July 10, 1995 as to day for the public hearing. Staff recollllllends approval of this
resolution.
