STAFF REPORT
The Traffic Engineering Section received a request to
remove the 2-hour parking limitation on the east side of "D"
Street from 200 feet south of 18th Street to 200 feet north of
18th Street.
The requestors claim that the parking limitation is not
needed; and that on-street parking can be better utilized by
their employees and patrons if the 2-hour parking signs were
removed.
An investigation was conducted by the Traffic Engineering
Staff regarding this matter. Staff concurs with the requestors.
Additionally, we were not able to identify any potential adverse
effect that could arise if the requested action is approved.
Since all of the affected businesses concur with the
removal of the limitation, and no adverse effect is expected from
this action, staff recommends approval of the attached resolution
authorizing removal of the 2-hour parking limitation on the east
side of "D" Street from 200 feet south of 18th Street to 200 feet
north of 18th Street.
