STAFF REPORT
The Traffic Engineering Section received a request to
implement 125 feet of 2-hour parking on the north side of Orange
Show Lane, beginning at approximately 300 feet east of "E" Street
and continuing east. The request was received from the owner of
"A" Plus Tire & Service. This is the only property located
within the limits of the request.
The requestor claims that employees from nearby busi-
nesses park their vehicles for long periods of time thereby
eliminating availability of on-street parking for his patrons.
An investigation was completed by the Traffic Engineering
staff that confirmed the requestor's claim. Since the requestor
is the only business that will be directly affected by the pro-
posed parking limitation, and since no adverse effect is expected
as a result of implementing the 2-hour parking limitation,
Traffic Engineering recommends approval of the request.
We therefore, recommend that the parking time limitation
be approved.
