STAFF REPORT
The Traffic Engineering Section received a request to
install stop signs at the intersection of Benedict Road and
Sunnyside Avenue. This intersection is currently uncontrolled.
The Traffic Engineering Section investigated the request,
and found that warrants for installation of two-way stop signs at
this location are met. Since Benedict Road has a volume of
approximately 1900 vehicles per day, and Sunnyside Avenue carries
approximately 700 vehicles per day, it is recommended that
traffic on Sunnyside Avenue stop for Benedict Road.
Staff recommends that the attached resolution be
approved, authorizing the installation of stop signs for North
and South bound traffic, at the intersection of Benedict Road and
Sunnyside Avenue.
