Recommended motion:
That the plans for application of slurry seal on various streets,
in accordance with Plan No. 9302 be approved; and the Director of
Public Works/City Engineer be authorized to advRrtise for bids.

STAFF REPORT
Plans for application of slurry seal on various streets
have been prepared by the Engineering Division, and the project
is ready to be advertised for bids. The project consists of
applying slurry seal to about 13.40 miles of street, in order to
improve the riding quality and extend the useful pavement life.
Below is an estimate of the total project cost:
Construction Contract $ 230,000
Engineering & Inspection (W.O. #15220) 7,000
Sub-Total $ 237,000
Contingencies (5%) :t 12,000
TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST $ 249,000
All costs incurred for this project will be financed from
the $500,000 allocated in the 1994/95 Gas Tax Budget, under
Account No. 126-369-5504-1521.
We recommend that the plans be approved and authorization
granted to advertise for bids.
