Recommended motion:
1. That the transfer of $497,000 from Account No. 245-365-5504-
1526, "Phase I - Northwest Interceptor Sewp.r," to Account No.
245-365-5504-1529, "Phase IV - Northwest Intp.rcepting Sewer," be
approved. AND
2. That the plans for installation of Phase IV of the Northwest
Intercepting Sewer, from Medical Center Drive & 16th St. to
California St. and Porter St., in accordance with Plan No. 9195,
be approved; and the Director of Public Works/City Engineer be
authorized to advertise for bidS~ ~~

STAFF REPORT
Plans for Phase IV of the Northwest Interceptor Sewer
have been prepared by the consulting engineer and the project is
ready to be advertised for bids. The project consists, in
general, of installing a 24 - 27 inch sewer line, from Medical
Center Drive and 16th Street to California Street and Porter
Street.
Below is an estimate of the total project cost:

An amount of $409,000 has been allocated, in the 1986/87
Sewer Line Construction Fund Budget, under Account No. 245-365-
5504-1529, to finance the costs that will be incurred for Phase
IV for the Northwest Interceptor Sewer. Supplemental funds, in
the amount of $497,000 will be needed to fully finance the total
estimated project cost. It is recommended that $497,000 be
transferred from the available balance for Phase I, under Account
No. 245-365-5504-1526.
We recommend that the plans be approved and authorization
granted to advertise for bids.
