2 ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING SECTION
10.16.160 AND REPEALING SECTION 10.16.170 OF THE SAN BERNARDINO
3 MUNICIPAL CODE, TO DELETE PROVISIONS RELATING TO HANDICAP PERMITS
ISSUED BY THE CITY.

THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO
5 DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. Section 10.16.160 of the San Bernardino
7 Municipal Code is amended to read as follows:
8 "When approved signs or markings authorized for placement
9 by the City Traffic Engineer are in place, on, in or about public
10 parking spaces or spaces in privately owned or operated parking
]1 areas declared open to the general public by the Mayor and Common
]2 Council, designating said spaces to be available and reserved for
13 vehicular parking by disabled or physically handicapped persons
]4 only, no vehicle other than those displaying a distinguishing
15 license plate or a placard issued to or for disabled or physically
16 handicapped persons or to disabled veterans by the Department of
17 Motor Vehicles shall be parked in any such parking space so
18 marked, signed, or designated."
19 SECTION 2. Section 10.16.170 of the San Be~nardino
20 Municipal Code is hereby repealed.
2] SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall become operative and
22 effective on January 1, 1981.
