'(''1\('), 1,4" ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING SECTION 2.28.010 OF THE SAN BERNARDINO MUNICIPAL CODE, AND APPROVING ALL AMENDMENTS TO THE RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE BOARD OF WATER COMMISSIONERS WHICH HAVE BEEN FILED WITH THE CITY CLERK ON OR BEFORE NOVEMBER 3, 1980. 3 4 5 THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: 6 7 SECTION 1. San Bernardino Municipal Water Department 300 N. "D" Street San Bernardino, California PAYMENT OF BILLS RULE AND REGULATION NO.6 Bills are due and payable at the office of the San Bernardino Municipal Water Department on the date they are mailed to property owners, tenants, or designated agents. If payment is not received within fifteen (15) days after the post office cancellation date, the bill wi 11 be considered delinquent and service may be discontinued without further notice. Service will not be reinstated until all outstanding charges have been paid, including a turn-on service charge in the amount of ten dollars ($10.00). Failure to receive a bill does not relieve a consumer of liability for payment. Unpaid bills shall be considered a debt to the City. Any person, firm or corporation failing or refusing to pay said indebted- ness shall be liable to an action on the part of the City, in a court of competent jurisdiction, for the collection of all unpaid charges. A consumer's water service may be discontinued without notice for nonpayment of a bill for service rendered at a previous location served by the Department, provided said bill is not paid within fifteen (15) days after presentation at a new service location within the City. If a consumer is receiving service at more than one location, service at any or all locations may be discontinued if bills for service at anyone or more locations are not paid within the specified fifteen (15) day period. Checks issued as payment of bills will be subject to a six dollar ($6.00) redemption charge if returned to the Department for reasons of insufficient funds or closed accounts.
