3 DEVELOPHENT PElli'1ITS FOR CONVERSIONS OF AUTOMOBILE SERVICE STATIONS.
4 THE MAYOR AND COWlON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS,

SECTION 1. Paragraph 1 of subsection C of section 19.24.020

of the San Bernardino Municipal Code is amended to read:

: "1. a. Automobile service stations, including locations
8
9
where gasoline dispensing punps are installed for the sale of
10
motor fuels in combination with some other type of retail service
I
(subject to conditional development permit); service station
II

pump islands shall not be closer than fourteen feet from the
13
street property line which distance shall be measured from the
14
nearest street property line to the nearest edge of the pump
15
island; no major repairs, metal work or painting shall be per-
16
mitted; only new or unused merchandise may be stored outside;
17
b. The conversion of a building designed for use as an
18
automobile service station to a different permitted use shall be
19
subject to conditional development permit requirements;"

SECTION 2. Paragraph 3 of subsection D of section 19.26.02
21 of the San Bernardino Municipal Code is amended to read:
"3. a. Automobile service stations, including locations

where gasoline dispensing pumps are installed for the sale of
motor fuels in combination with some other type of retail service
(subject to conditional development permit); service station
pump islands shall not be closer than fourteen feet from the

further provided that the planning commission has reviewed and

approved the overall site plan development for the shopping
I center;

b. The conversion of a building designed for use as an
automobile service station to a different permitted use shall be
subject to conditional develonment permit requirements;"
SECTION 3. Paragraph 23 of subsection C of section 19.28.02
of the San Bernardino Nunicipal Code is amended to read:
"23. a. Automobile service stations, including locations
where gasoline dispensing pumps are installed for the sale of
motor fuels in combination with some other type of retail service
(subject to conditional development permit); service station
pump islands shall not be closer than fourteen feet from the
street property line which distance shall be measured from the
nearest street property line to the nearest edge of the pump
island;
b. The conversion of a building designed for use as an
automobile service station to a different permitted use shall be
subject to conditional development permit requirements;"
SECTION 4. Subsection E of section 19.36.020 of the San
Bernardino Nunicinal Code is amended to read:

25 SECTION 6. Subsection C of section 19.40.020 of the San
26 Bernardino Municipal Code is amended to read:
