2 ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING SECTION
19.08.020 OF THE SAN BERNARDINO MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO USES
3 PE&~ITTED IN AN R-l SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT, TO PERMIT
CIVIC OR COMMUNITY CLUBS WHICH HOLD LIQUOR LICENSES, TO REMOVE
4 MINIMUM LOT SIZE REQUIREMENTS FOR GUEST HOUSES, AND TO PERMIT
STATE AUTHORIZED, CERTIFIED OR LICENSED,FAMILY CARE HOMES, FOSTER
5 HOMES, OR GROUP HOMES SERVING SIX OR FEWER PERSONS SUBJECT TO A
CONDITIONAL DEVELOPMENT PERMIT.

THE ~ffiYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO DO
7 ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. Section 19.08.020 of the San Bernardino Municipal
9 Code is amended to read:
10 "No building or land shall be used and no building shall
11 hereafter be erected, structurally altered, enlarged or maintained
12 except for the following uses:
13
A.
Single-family residences, provided not more than one dwelling
14
unit is located on a lot;
15
B.
Home occupations, subject to commission review and approval;
16
C.
Public and private uses as follows, subject to a conditional
17
development permit:

1. Churches,
19
2. Public libraries,
20
3. Educational institutions of a nonprofit nature,
21
4. Civic or community clubs,
22
5. Country clubs and golf courses, except miniature golf
23
courses and similar commercial enterprises,
24
6. Fire and police stations,
25
7. Museums not operated for profit,
26
8. Electrical substations,
27
9. Children's nurseries,
28
10. State authorized, certified or licensed family care

homes, foster homes or group homes serving six or fewer

mentally disordered or otherwise handicapped persons or
3
dependent and neglected children,

11. Guest houses."
