2 ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING SECTION
5.76.550 OF THE SAN BERNARDINO MUNICIPAL CODE TO PROVIDE THAT THE
3 MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL SHALL ESTABLISH THE NUMBER OF QUALIFIED
TOWING CARRIERS TO BE PLACED ON TOWING SERVICE ROTATION LISTS.

THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO DO
5 ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. Section 5.76.550 Subparagraph C. of the San
7 Bernardino Municipal Code is amended to read:

"C. The Mayor and Common Council, by resolution, shall
9 establish the number of qualified towing carriers to be placed on
JO the list. The bureau shall place qualified towing carriers on the
11 list until the list is filled. Whenever a vacancy occurs on the
12 list the bureau shall place the name of another qualified towing
]3 carrier at the bottom of the list until the time of the next
]4 rotation. The carrier which is placed at the top of the list
15 shall be called exclusively by the Police Department for 15 days.
]6 ~t the expiration of that time, the carrier's name shall be placed
17 at the bottom of the list. Thereupon, the carrier which is then
18 rrighest on the list shall be called exclusively for the following
19 next 15 days. Thereafter, during each 15-day period, the carrier
20 similarly rotated to the top of the list shall be called
21 exclusively for that 15-day period."
