ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING SECTION
19.24.020 SUBSECTION A OF THE SAN BERNARDINO MUNICIPAL CODE TO
ELIMINATE THE SALE OF FRUITS OR VEGETABLES FROM A TRUCK OR
TRAILER, PROVIDING THAT SUCH SALES MAY CONTINUE UNTIL A VALID
PERMIT HAS EXPIRED, BUT IN NO EVENT LONGER THAN ONE YEAR FROM THE
DATE THIS ORDINANCE IS ADOPTED; AND ELIMINATING THE REQUIREMENT OF
A CONDITIONAL DEVELOPMENT PERMIT FOR A BOOK STORE.

THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. Section 19.24.020 Subsection A of the San

Bernardino Municipal Code is amended to

Retail stores (located within enclosed permanent

structures):

1. Bakery employing not more than five persons;
13
2. Book store;
14
3. Confectionery store;
15
4. Drugstore;
16
5. Drygoods or notions store;
17
6. Florist or gift shop;
18
7. Grocery, fruit, or vegetable store;
19
8. Hardware or electrical appliance store;
20
9. Jewelry store;
21
10. Meat market or delicatessen store;
22
11. Packaged ice station;
23
12. Photographic supplies store;
24
13. Stationery store."

SECTION 2. Sale of fruits or vegetables from a truck or
26 trailer parked on private property. pursuant to a valid permit
27 issued by the Planning Director prior to the adoption of this
28 ordinance, shall be allowed to continue until expiration of the

permit, but in no event longer than one year from the date this

ordinance is adopted.
