ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO ADDING SECTION
5.04.123 TO THE SAN BERNARDINO MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO BUSINESS
LICENSES FOR ALARM BUSINESSES.

THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. Section 5.04.123 is added to the San Bernardino
7 Municipal Code to read:

"5.04.123 Alarm business.

A. For every person, firm or corporation engaging in the
10 alarm business as defined in Section 8.81.020, the license fee is
11 fifty dollars annually, plus two dollars annually for each alarm
]2 installed, maintained, serviced, repaired or monitored by such
]3 alarm business within the City. Each licensee shall annually
]4 provide to the City Clerk at time of paying such fee a complete
]5 list showing each address for which the licensee is leasing,
]6 maintaining, servicing, repairing, installing or monitoring an
17 alarm system within the City.
]8 B. An annual fee of five dollars shall be charged each alarm
]9 agent, as defined in Section 8.81.020, who engages in any activity
20 within the City."

SECTION 2. From January 1, 1982 to June 30, 1982, the
22 applicable fee enacted by Section 5.04.123 shall be one hundred
23 fifty percent of the fee provided for in Section 5.04.123, and the
24 license shall be valid until June 30, 1983. After June 30, 1982,
25 the applicable fee will be as specified in Section 5.04.123, and
26 licenses shall be renewable on the first day of July of each
27 year.
