ORDINANCE NO.

2 ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING SECTION
16.16.040 OF THE SAN BERNARDINO MUNICIPAL CODE TO PROVIDE THAT
3 BANNER APPLICANTS SHALL PROVIDE INSURANCE AND EXECUTE A HOLD
HARMLESS AGREEMENT PRIOR TO ERECTION OF A BANNER.

THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO DO
5 ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. Section 16.16.040 of the San Bernardino Municipal

[code

is amended to read:

"16.16.040 Deposit, insurance, hold harmless agreement
9 required.
10 Each applicant shall make a deposit of money with the City,
11 in an amount specified by resolution, to cover the cost of permit
12 issuance and the cost of erection and removal of each banner. In
13 addition, prior to erection of the banner, the applicant shall
14 deliver to the City a certificate of liability insurance including
15 the City as an insured or as an additional insured, covering any
16 liability arising from the erection, malntenance or removal of
17 such banner, in an amount specified by resolution, and shall also
18 provide a hold harmless agreement in form approved by the City
19 Attorney. "
