2 ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING SECTION
3.16.050 OF THE SAN BERNARDINO MUNICIPAL CODE TO PROVIDE THAT THE
J CITY ADMINISTRATOR OR HIS AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE MAY SETTLE ANY
CLAIM AGAINST THE CITY UP TO THE AMOUNT OF TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS.

THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO DO
5 ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. Section 3.16.050 of the San Bernardino Municipal
7 code is amended to read:

"3.16.050 Power of City Administrator.
9 The City Administrator or his authorized representative shall
JO perform each function of the Mayor and Common Council under this
11 chapter and under Government Code Title I, Division 3.6, Part 3,
]2 (Section 900, et seq.) any amendments thereto or other related
]3 provisions of law, which relate to any claim, except that he shall
J4 not allow, compromise or settle any claim against the city if the
]5 amount to be paid pursuant to such allowance, compromise or
]6 settlement exceeds two thousand dollars."
]7 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was duly
]8 adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San
]9
Bernardino at a
regular
meeting thereof, held on

1982, by the following vote,
